In some instances, acid reflux may not even be the problem. It may be lack of acid you are producing, which could cause the same effect. For those that may experience heartburn/indigestion (even pregnant dudettes), next time it happens, take a tablespoon of something citrus, apple cider vinegar, orange juice, etc. If it becomes worse, they your something you are eating is causing a reaction in your digestive tract. However, if it relieves the symptoms, then producing too much acid is not the problem. It's lack of production that is the issue.
By simply going to a health food store and buying some Betaine-HCL, which is a pH balancing enzyme made from beets, may be what you need. By treating the lack of acid production, it will allow you to focus on figuring out what could be the cause of the problem in the first place (which we'll address in future Notes).
