Well folks, that was far from plain. The truth is it's not that she resisted giving up oatmeal, it's that she resisted giving up the toppings and additional goodies that she piled on top of it that was the problem. Her body was craving sugar and she provided it in the form of those toppings. You could say the same thing about toast or pasta. Who here eats plain bread or plain pasta? It's the butter or jam on the toast. Or the tomato sauce with cheese on the pasta. So the next time you consider giving up "something" or are wanting to move forward and begin a new regime of eating healthy foods (that may not be so healthy). Consider whether it would be hard to give up or would it be harder to give up the added foods with or in it. I mean, when was the last time you heard someone say they just couldn't give up broccoli or tuna?
