Regarding sleep, I try to get at least 7-8 hours sleep a night, and I try to adjust my schedule accordingly. It doesn't matter when I need to be up and moving in the morning, I tailor my sleep to begin to wind down 7-8 hours earlier. To me, sleep is like shutting off your computer. Why do we shut off our computer? To save electricity? To reset the settings? Both of these could be applied to your sleep patterns. By shutting off your mind (and by going to sleep for 7-8 hours), you allow your body and mind to reset and then awake refreshed, full of cortisol to take on the day.
